Natural Progression
What's better out there, that gives the same practicality as the M6, but more accurate and thrilling to drive. I'd need 2 door & 4 door options. It has to be equivalent or better than the F06 & more exotic, with a budget of $125K+/-10K
Is there anything coming down the pipeline or being released to put a deposit down for? Last edited by hirkaismyname; 10-26-2023 at 02:27 AM.. |

The only thing I can think of outside of an M5/8 would maybe be a pre-owned Panamera or 911. RS6/7 maybe? I wouldn't say AMG has the same handling but the power is there.

The three cars I'd contemplate switching to:
1) M8 Gran Coupe, basically the new 6er, you lose a lot of the special feeling as the interior is very homogenized relative to the rest of the BMW line-up 2) Porsche Panamera, new gen is certainly a looker! + Porsche prestige, even though it may not handle as well as a M6 for similar price unless you sell your arm and leg for a turbo + variant 3) Audi RS7, I always wanted one of those but decided on the M6, absolutely gorgeous but bland interior and lackluster performance

I've always liked how the DB11 looks. Looks like you can get a 3 year old V8 or a 5 year old V12 in your price range. I've never driven either though.
I rented a Jaguar F-Type S once. Only the V6 but damn it was fun to drive and it was LOUD. Valets would park it up front (the M6 can be hit or miss wrt prominent placement). You could get a V8 R in your price range brand new. But Jaguar is ending the F-Type next year so could be a problem a few years down the line. A family member of mine has a Maserati GranTurismo. I haven't driven it but it sounds incredible. However all of those are 2-door only cars. Maybe hold out for the M5 Touring if you can get one, I imagine a lot of deposits went down when the announcement was made. |

The cars that get me to turn my head are Panamera or RS7.

Panamera has my bias vote. Whether if you keep it stock or modify it, it's a great all around machine to drive. My example has a custom stage 2 dyno tune from Eurocharged and it...moves! 0-60 in 2.6 at 2400DA. She may look big, but handles small (when comparing it to other cars in it's class). Interior is also in a different league than my M6GC. Though to be fair, it should be compared to the M8GC which I am not a fan of, unfortunately.

I would keep lol, but if anything the only other car in the class that I like more is the Panamera.
