These guys (TFLcar) are testing the M6 a mile above sea level. Did it dramatically affected the 0-60 time?

Will it beat the record time set by the new Mercedes-Benz SL? In another fun TFLcar 0-60 MPH video we decided to find out with the help of the car’s launch control. Is the 2013 BMW M6 Coupe the fasters car that TFLcar has ever tested at a mile above sea level?

I did'nt expected it to be that fast(I mean...at 1 mile above sea level and with a 250lbs passenger), usually these guys make some really poor numbers with the cars they test. I'm sure the M6 could be in the 3sec. range at sea level without passenger! Might really be a GT-R killer!

Man I haven't gotten any good results with launch control. I'm hoping to do some more playing with it when it gets warm. Even on the lowest RPM my car be bunny hopping down the street. haha

Very Impressive!!! Especially a mile up with 500 extra (driver and pass.) lbs. on board!!

I would love to see the time with only the driver and LC

Wouldn't the coupe be F12 not F13 which is the convertible?

They probably couldn't get the LC to work because the car was in the break-in period. Flag will never come up in break-in.

No in this case the Cab is an f12 and the Coupe is the f13 because the Cab came out first.

Launch control should be:
1. Foot on the brake
2. Right foot all the way down past the click.

Way more easy than that confusing sport mode - DTC - M1 - praise God. And there should be a warning on the dash saying why it doesn't activate, like "engine not warm enough for LC" or "Can't use LC during break-in period".

That been said, that's a really quick time without LC given the conditions!

BMW really needs to work on their LC system, this is a recurring problem I've seen with all the vids of this and the M5. -_-

I think the reason they can't get the LC working is because they just turned on the car. The car needs to be at full operating temps before it can do LC.

I've experienced this with my e60 M5. Even after driving around for a bit, then turning the car off, you still need to give it a few minutes before doing LC.

I'm sure they drove the car To that location so the engine is warm enough
And if u watch the video when they zoom in on the dash u can the temp is at 230-240ish
