Are you sure they are not upside down? I know nothing about these things, but after a quick look it seems like the wide part should be at the top and the narrow part at the bottom.

I thought that was the case too initially but no, they were installed correctly. I don't think AC designed these things for the 6'er in the first place.

Maybe you should have it painted to white and leave the mesh part black. To me, it's the chrome fin part that bothers me. Sorry to say.

Agreed. If the chrome part was white (or black), i think it would make it look alot better.

IMO, I would try that before you switch out your hood.

Side note... these vents may look nice on the side of the car (maybe?)
