My Local BMW Dealer Just Ordered My 640iGC!!!
I just received an email from my sales rep at BMW and they just ordered my 13' 640iGC. I can't wait to get it, although I'm in Afghanistan and won't get to drive it until late spring. I'm sure my wife will enjoy driving it. Here's the specs:
Space Gray Black Leather (Dk) Fine Line Oak Wood Trim Cold Weather Pkg Driver Assist Pkg Luxury Seating Pkg Premium Sound Pkg 19" V Spoke (Style 366) Wheels Full LED Lights BMW Apps When it's delivered and my wife takes pics, I'll post them. Also, what do you guys think about the Aluminum trim vs Fine Oak Wood trim with black interior? Last edited by Reeses83; 11-17-2012 at 02:48 PM.. |

In my opinion I would go with fine oak wood over aluminum, the grey poplar is nice too. Last edited by dsad1; 11-17-2012 at 04:52 PM.. |

The fine oak wood trim is what I ordered but I was just wondering what everyone thought. I think the the aluminum accents the black leather really well and it makes the 6er sporty, but the fine oak wood trim gives a more luxurious look and feel to the cabin. I think I'm going to stick with the fine oak wood.

Congrats, sounds like a nice build. I think wood accepts work on the GC rather than the aluminum, grey goes nice with my interior, but I think the oak will pop with the black that you've ordered.
I don't like the msport kit on this car, it takes away for the design and looks too boxy, IMHO, though it does fit better on the coupe. I know some like the cool factor of the LEDs but I would not have gotten them, I've already read a second member post that they are less useful than xenons so I cant fathom why one would order them just to walk past them for a few seconds each time you approach the car and say 'wow that looks cool', in this situation function is much more necessary than form. But regardless, I think you'll love the car, so good luck
