650xi GC Vibration

Anyone else experiencing a drive train vibration ?

Mine has a vibration that gets quite severe under certain circumstances. After eliminating wheels and tires BMW diagnosed a ‘sloppy’ driveshaft as the cause.

However, after waiting for a new driveshaft from Germany that was fitted last week the vibration is still there?

The other surprise was that the dealer advised their other 650xi GC has the same vibration!

Interested if anyone has had a similar experience.

I have the 650xi GC and have not experienced that yet, will keep my eye out for it though.

my 650 vibrates & shakes whe coming to a complete stop. Heck, lots of things are wrong with my car; loose driver seat, driver door, driver seat headrest, TPM defects...as much as I love the car, just way too many defects on this generation of 650...very disappointed with bmw..

I have the same experience! Loose driverseat which is also making a lot of noise. Sideskirt loose, lock of the centre armrest is loose, electric sunscreens are making a lot a noise when closed, doorhandle is not painted properly, between 100km/h and 130 km/h the car makes a lot of noises, and so on!!!!! There car looks incredible but is BMW unworthy put together. From the buildquality it is worlds apart from my 740d. Until now the Gran Coupe is a big disappointment!!!!! And that at a price of € 144.000,-!!

Ditto! My thoughts exactly.

I've escalated the matter via Twitter and Facbook to BMW, don't know how they'll handle it. This is my umteenith bmw; 30th... I truly hope they'll do a buy-back.

Have you taken your vehicle in for service? What did they said & diagnostic?

BMW promised to solve the problems this friday! They will chance several parts of the car. Let's see what happens after friday.

BMW replaced the driveshaft but that did not fix the vibration

they then had the dealer 'rotate' the torque converter but that made no difference either

car has been with dealer for past 10 days with BMW saying that the ZF transmission people say this sort of vibration is 'normal' - it is not normal to me when he car bounces enough to start changing lanes from the vibration!

I took mine 2012 650 in, BMW NA engineer took the vehicle for a week and stated it's norm for the vibrate & shakes for the V8. I'm getting in touch with a lemon law lawyer, BMW NA can go "shake & vibrate" with the lawyer.
