2013 650i changes?

Good morning guys. I\'m thinking of waiting until next year to order my 650i xdrive (upstate ny winters). When do you think BMW will announce their changes, if any? I know it\'s early, but those of you who are lucky enough to already have their car, what changes/additions if any would you suggest?

BMW doesn't combine xDrive and 6MTs. For MY13, you may see a few small added options like HUD speed limit display (which just became available on the new 3er).

That's interesting. I didn't know BMW doesn't offer 6mt on x drive vehicles. My e92 was, and current b8 s4 is 6mt. I do a lot of city driving so the auto might be a good change. I assumed the 6er had the same HUD technology as the new 3.

Anything else it might be missing?

The E92 3-series combined xDrive and 6MT, but not so for the new 5- and 6-series. Too bad. The 3- and 6-series do have the same HUD, but the 3 has just added another option which, for the first time (in NA), adds speed limit display to HUD.

Let's hope so. It's available now on the BMW UK configurator. Hopefully it migrates to the US next year.

Shadow Line trim is standard on the M 6ers here in Canada?? Should receive ours next week!! Excited or what. A whole lot of great feedback on this site and it appears we all made the right choice!! And yes, X-Drive only available in Canada and no MT's!!! This will be our first automatic car....ever!! Still have the 65 GTO 425hp & 5 speed!!! to have fun with. Ric

One change I'm sure will make it to the Coupe is the the updated V-8 engine from the Gran Coupe with more performance and efficiency. The new version of the engine develops 445 hp (a 45 hp increase), and makes peak torque of 480 lb-ft (a 30 lbs-ft increase).

I suspect this is probably 100% electronics, and no real update to the engine. The engine as tuned in the current 650i is good for a lot more, without mechanical change.

This sounds like a mechanical upgrade from the current engine.
