What's the 92k? Was your lease based of that? Residual?

For lease deals, it makes more sense to share details such as MSRP, Selling Price, MF, RV, Cap Reduction, Term, Mile/Yr, etc.
I didn't get the 650i, but the payment for my 640i ($82k MSRP) is seriously low mainly because they applied the royalty rate deduction on MF with 7 MSD's as well as the credits applied to final selling price.

Danzzz....please don't yell
But I'm new to the concept of leasing and I've always bought in the past. M630 was talking to me about leasing a few weeks back. We never got into all the technical terms. I understand MSRP, residual and that's about it. I thought all leases were based on MSRP? Could you explain more? Or point me to a solid Thread that has everything you refer to? Thank you! BTW, I'm thinking about a 650xi coupe.... Quote:

Sorry about the "yelling", if any.

Once you are familiar with all the terms, http://www.bmwconfig.com is a good site to calculate the payment. To check monthly residual values, you can go to http://www.ridewithg.com where you can find the most updated RV for all models. In addition, the sub forum called "Ask the dealer" under Bimmerfest is extremely helpful. Lots of educational posts along with the real deals people got. Hope that'll help.

Danzzz, thank you!
I didn't mean for that damn smiling face to be up in arms laughing! But I'm going to check those sites out and do some research. Have a grey weekend.

10K up front (so about $7K down) , about $1000 over invoice, I think (don't have it in front of me) . $860/month 36 months 15k miles. MF and residual were whatever the standard is right now- something like. 00195 and 62% or 57%, I forget. I'm happy with the deal. BTW, got it in NY, so couldn't do MSD, but CT deal with it wasn't as good.

wow
wow, must everything be so much cheaper in the States?
fully loaded with every option available, including special order individual interior colour and ARS (which were not available on Canadian models, they had to make calls), it's well above CAN$140000.00 then plus extended warranty, extended maintenance and taxes, total comes to just below $170000, and now it's about 1:1 Canadian to US dollars, go figure eh! you guys are very lucky to be able to lease a high end car with so little put in lease a well equipped 650i x drive coupe with 10000 down would run you at least $1700 a mth. that's just insane comparing how little everyone else is paying on the site |

I set the limit at a 640, since I did not want to pay the additional 70.000 USD for upgrading to a 650......

Someone on another forum mentioned they paid equivalent of $250k USD in Australia!!!
... but he did get soft-close doors. Throw in an auto trunk, and I'd pay that lol.

well i understand that it could be a lot more expensive in countries like China with their 250% import taxes on cars, but I mean I could cross the border and get the same thing from Seattle for about 35000 less, that's the problem i have with the system, simply because those companies CAN charge as much as they want, same milk from Costco, it's about 1.20 more here in Vancouver than those bought from Bellingham.
i'm not exactly complaining though it might sounded like, just saying that a lot of people from the States can have it for so little, and that makes the car, well less special |

We shop entirely in the US!!! Gas is cheaper by about a buck a gallon (premium gas saves us about 20 bucks on a tank!!... etc. We're 15 min from the border and have the Nexus passes for a smooth, wait free entry!! I can tell you this HM........ I questioned BMW Canada about the base price being $15,000 more than the US and the BO stereo is $6800 option here and $3700 in the US...... !!! Their reply was basically..."because we can and if you want it you will pay" !!!!!!!!! Great PR work there!! They said it was because our economy was on solid ground and US is still rocky at best. They also said "yes you can buy a new 650i cheaper in the US........ then you must wait one year before you can import it!!" Probably not a bad option as their current delivery could be 8 months out?? So, maybe buy one in the US (you can't, but a very good friend could!)...... then wait one year to import the car? Or, if you wait til Sept, you could buy a used one and save $50,000 over the current Canadian price. Check ebay for 2010 M6 cars for sale!! You'll save a bundle. All options to consider, but as I said in another thread, ours is only the 2nd Coupe in Vancouver, so far. These will be a pretty rare sight indeed. Just close your eyes and write the check..lol lol One fellow member bought one in Singapore........ paid 2&1/2 times what we pay?? So, see, we are getting a great deal. Hey, yeah I only saw total of five 650 cabs, never a coupe in Vancouver. and the reasons were given by the BMW store were different than yours, well becuz they are all bullshit haha, one thing is true that they charge this much cuz they can. I'm not complaining at all. money is not an issue and I also made up my mind, I was just saying that WAY cheaper price in the US, imo, makes the car less special. I'm getting this car fully loaded with every option available, I simply can't decide what to let go, and frankly I don't and shouldn't make that kinda decision on such a perfect car, expect no auto close on that truck !!! so right now, BMW is paying all Canadian dealers $12500 incentive to sell a cab and someone from one of the stores here in Vancouver offered me a cool $25000 discount on a cab, but was not interested one bit. I'm waiting on the new engine and hopefully that auto close truck, but if I can control myself and bare the wait, I'll get the face lifted version as that would be the best version of this car, and according to the manager that I always deal with, at that time a $20000 discount would be very possible... hehe and say no to used and lease options haha |
