As soon as that car started moving the cops should have unloaded their guns on the punk. Then stopped, gotten a glass of water reloaded their guns and unloaded another full clip into him! Then gottten a nice back rub. Pulled his body out of the car loaded their guns again and fired another clip into his dick! Just to make sure he will never have kids by accident!

Wow, thats cold dude. I agree the driver/owner was wrong, but you obviously haven't dealt with NYC meter maids/traffic cops. I've been wrongfully issued tickets several times, all $135 and guess what I did about it??? That's right, JACK SHIT, because it was his word against mine. Believe me, its frustrating every time NYC gives you the shaft and rams you wrongfully for $135. The other times I was rightfully issued because of very small negligence, I sucked it up and paid it. Those fucking traffic cops that don't have real jobs should be the ones getting audited and scrutinized but they dont. In case you didn't notice that traffic cop deserved an oscar nomination for his world class acting skills after his foot was run over. . . gimme a break.

Still sounds very extreme and unnecessary if you ask me. So after admitting you that you're neither a police officer or a law major let me tell you this. Some of my best friends are NYPD, my sister in law in NYPD and they all agree a lot of cops including many of their coworkers at their precincts are complete assholes that totally abuse their power.

Any cop that would've unloaded his gun in "that guy" would've more than likely been severely disciplined, discharged and even charged for wrongful use of their weapon. Not all cops know what they're doing, a lot of them sign up for the awesome benefits and early retirement. A LOT of them are DIRTY, and A LOT of them think they're above the law. Hypothetically if that were the case, of course I'd be upset. But it isn't and its irrelevant. And if my father were an officer, the last thing he'd do is get in front of a moving car. That cop could've just as easily produced the ticket given the license plate and make of the vehicle, all of which he had.

My point is, the police have to adhere to a specific set of rules and regulations. Unloading your clip in someone driving over your foot would not be accepted. Officers walk a fine line and they should be respected, but they can also be scrutinized (and very easily at that) for making the wrong decision.

I'm curious... regardless of what car is being driven and whether or not the car was illegally parked, does an officer writing a parking citation have the power to prevent you from leaving until the actual ticket has been served? If not, then putting his foot under the car's tire seems like entrapment forcing the driver to "assault" the officer when the driver has the right to leave?
