I have been saying for years, if you compare identical cars back to back, manual in my opinion is just more fun/involving driving experience, no doubt. Yes, I know new automatic and DCT transmissions are quicker shifting, get you 0-60 a bit faster, and even will give you better gas mileage these days, but personally I don't care if I get kids to school and make it to work 0.5 sec. faster on daily basis.

So, good news I guess, too bad it's mostly "M" in the future, but manufacturers go after the money, and simple fact is, North American buyer in general doesn't buy manual transmission cars.
