I've been wanting to do a full vehicle wrap since like two years ago, but never really got enough conviction on the available colors from 3M. I didn't like the matte colors as they didn't look as good as the 'frozen' paint from BMW. Things changed when I saw the satin series which looked much closer to the frozen look. The 3M 1080 Satin Dark Grey was just released late last year and when I saw this sample, my decision was made. This color makes my car looks like pure steel instead of paint.
