We just got back from a whirlwind trip to the L.A. area to prove that we were serious. I am not sure what their alleged "production number" is really for. Nothing says it is for a '16, and I could not get any information from the 1-800 number that I used to check production status when I ordered my M6GC. I understand that production has not yet started, but I expected to see some kind of tie to the '16 models. Fortunately, all of our email correspondence is clear that we want to order a '16. I will give them the benefit of the doubt at this point, but I am wondering if the number is just a place holder within the dealership. We'll see.
And yeah, we don't want to fully commit until we see what the actual ordering guide looks like.
