Have you checked the airbox right before the turbo? There is a gasket that slides into in the turbo that may have failed. But I wonder if your pop was actually the intake manifold. The air box is not pressurized but could be broken. Thankful the intake track is small on this car

I replaced them last year when I installed my PG charge coolers. I also still have doubts its the intake manifold as my max boost is 22psi and I wasn't even full throttle when it happen say around 12 PSI but when I looked at the end of the data log when throttle is closed I am at 19 psi which seems like an issue after the throttle body. After the throttle body there are 3 things that might cause it, stuck valve(no vacuum at the exhaust so its fine), broken fuel tank vent pipe leaking air and finally blown intake manifold gasket. If all of that is fine I will get a camera through the O2 sensor to check the exhaust turbine
Will keep testing and update you guys.
