I think you can add coverage for modifications , but it will cost extra. My insurance covered my CF splitters after someone hit me , but i think they only did that because its a OEM part. |
I think you are correct. I believe the exclusion is for non-OEM parts. With OEM parts, even when installed after the purchase of the vehicle, can be argued to have been there from the moment it left the factory.
