I have a 2014 650i convertible. Had a vibration on my car worst at 70mph cruising. Tried tires, wheels, suspension, wheel bearings. Turned out to be a differential. It grenaded one day at lunch. When the diff went the splines on the differential that power the diff stripped out and also needed to be replaced.
Sorry if this is just a red herring on the fire, but I figured it might help someone out there.
