I know I bought my 3er in part because you couldn't fit an adult in the back seat of the former 6er. I've always felt if the car maker (of a two door car) is going to put seats back there that two grown (but not corpulent) people should be able to actually sit there for short trips.

I've an F32, and can comfortably sit behind myself. I'm 5'9"/1.75 m and my knees and head have room. The F13 I sat in could not do that. My knees were in the seat back, and my head was firmly pressing into the headliner. The rear is for show, luggage, pets, or a child's car seat.
