Sept 2013 Build / CCC module replaced under warranty when iDrive goes blank twice
My Sept 2013 build F06/6C iDrive went blank and re-started itself twice before I took it to the dealer. This was withing 2 weeks of ownership.
They did some checks and immediately proceeded to replace the CCC module in the centre console (1 day to order, 1 hour to fit, re-coding took 3-4 hours) under warranty after which I have had no issues.
Pretty straight-forward and did seem like a over-reaction (in my favour) by the BMW dealer who could perhaps have simple recoded the software but they were taking no chances.
