I have driven 3 M6 gran Coupes, one B6 Alpina, and a 2018 M6 Competition coupe. In my opinion, the M6 gran coupes ride ROUGH. The M6 Competition (with 600hp) also rode ROUGH and was so over powered that every time I hit the gas the rears broke loose and the traction control all but stifled forward motion. The salesman told me it was because the tires were cold, but I tend to doubt this opinion, especially after about a dozen launches.

I also drove several 650 Gran Coupes and found them to be the sweet spot. I currently own a 2016 640 GC and am very happy with its power and acceleration. I thought seriously about swapping it for a 650 due to hp envy, but in the end decided that I would keep the 640 long term as my Luxo-cruiser and instead of trying to get super car performance out of a 4500 pound GT car, would buy a C8 Corvette for my road jollies. 911? What 911? Never been a fan. They sound like giant egg beaters working on a bowl of steel nuts and bolts.
