Well although M5/M6 are heavy and big but they are quick and well balanced. They are nimble too but of course not as nimble as E30.
To prove this you can take a look at the real competition between M5 and M4 to see M5 is not slower than M4 over the track.
As far as E9x , I agree they are great M cars ut compare to F8x they are missing the big factor and that's "torque' which change the performance a lot and that's why F8x is faster than F8x everywhere including nurburgring ring.
