The GTR's performance compared to the M2 is a level above, but you are also paying close to double for it. Also from all the reviews I've seen, it is a great machine that is fast as hell and handles like it's on rails. But most of it is done by the electronics and is a very blend car in terms of driver involvement. So if you want a fast car that is easy to drive fast that doesn't require as much skills and driver involvement, then the GTR may be the way to go if money is not an issue.

Also as mentioned, Nissan never really fixed the transmission issue. There are still issues with the newer ones here and there and they cost about $15k to replace. Again, if your pockets are deep enough, I guess it wouldn't matter.
