No doubt but it does play into the "show" aspect/getting people to watch/come to the track...look at all the complaints at F1 since the switch to hybrid turbo V6 configuration and Formula 1 wanting to address that for the new engine package for 2021...so although I agree with you...but it still is important
I see where you are coming from. But in this case it would(should) be the objective of the body setting the regulations for the series. Once the rules are set the team is trying to make the fastest car possible within the budget available.
There is no champagne for the best sounding car.
