Agreed, I want to keep the 245 width but go as high as I can on the sidewall. If 245/40 is as high as I can go so be it. Don't want to go wider as that will defeat the purpose of going to an A/S tire to begin with. I've got X-drive so that should help out a ton as well.
For you, being you are RWD, 245/40 plus the Blizzak snows make sense.
