I can empathize, I get about 700 miles between refills. I go directly to the parts department and complain and they have given me many free bottles of oil. My service guy said that is within spec and that I needed to drive the car harder.

You need a leak down test to determine if it is oil leaking. I have owned lots of M cars and the oil consumption has varied greatly between 1-5k miles, this one is the worse.

Are you using MW 5W-30 Twinpower Turbo Longlife Synthetic Oil or some other brand?

“Oil consumption is normal on all engines,” BMW spokesman Hector Arellano-Belloc said in an e-mailed statement. “BMW vehicles have long intervals between oil changes (10,000 miles). BMW engines (excluding the BMW M) may consume up to one quart of engine oil per 750 miles under certain driving conditions.” He added that BMW’s M performance models may consume even more oil than that.
