The M6 has a DCT. This is a dual (wet) clutch synchromesh “manual” 7-speed transmission that is electro-hydraulically controlled. The is no clutch pedal nor conventional shifter. You can shift "manually" via the paddles or let the computer do the thinking (auto mode).
The 640 and 650 M edition have identical suspension, trans etc. They have different engines. I thought the 640 handled slightly better as it has the same suspension but is lighter. The 650 obviously is faster both are great choices.
