No, like you I'm happy enough once I'm in the car. There will obviously be a sweet reminder that I should have been sensible, when I swap out :/
But I'm in the fortunate position that my big life expenses (house, retirement, etc) are pretty much paid for quite early in my life. Now I just service the silly stuff like cars and holidays
. Still, having grown up to middle class working parents, I have a healthy respect for money. My mum for example (while happy her children can have things they could only dream about), still insists she only wants a Golf (or equivelant), because a £40-50k car still represents several years salary based on what she first earned
Every 3 years when we get her a new car, I slowly edge her up (might get her into a C class/3) next
