There's a little rush that comes from getting a first peek at a yet-to-be-revealed model's styling, especially if it's an M model, and even if it's just a diagram. We're happy to share with you the first look at the upcoming 2013 M6 coupe/convertible's external styling bits, from official parts diagrams.
These M6 parts diagrams give us a good view at the upcoming 2013 M6 front and rear bumpers. As
M6 spyshots suggested, the M6 follows the latest M styling cues with its inverted-mouth front bumper design previously seen on the E9x M3 and F10 M5 models. The lower edge of the outside front bumpers (splitters) appear sportier than that of the new F10 M5. The spoiler lip seen in spy photos will also form part of the M6's front fascia. The rear bumper design is fairly similar to the F10 M5 with its rear diffuser design.
The The F12/F13 M6 coupe and convertible will get different standard wheels - a seven double-spoke 19" wheel called Style
M 344. The optional 20" wheels from the M5 will be available on the M6 as well.
Technical specifications are the same as the F10 M5, so expect the marvelous twinscroll twinturbo 4.4l V8 (S63Tu) to offer
560hp and
680Nm of torque.
Finally, there'll be an additional interior color for the F13 M6 coupe.
Zandvoort Beige will complement the other already known choices (Black, Sakhir Orange, Silverstone II).
We expect BMW to announce the first official details on the 2013 M6 shortly, prior to its public reveal at the 2012 Geneva motor show next month. Expect a US launch this summer.
