I removed the front plate from my previous car (Audi A6) but with that grill, it wasn't even noticeable.
My 650i is white so I think the holes would be pretty obvious.

That's crap. If your car was brand new, they don't have the rights to drill into the bumper unless you asked for it. If there are holes, ask them to repair it so you can use the "no drill" brackets.
