Well, it may very well seem that way. But I don't think they exactly parade these things around. There's a small industry now which trade in spy-shots and seeing that you can't really put a car to market these days without extensive testing, it's inevitable that pictures of the test car emerge.

It might build up tension, but in the day and age of the internet, it's likely that it will also eat into sales. Anyone thinking of parting with their cash for a 6 series or M6 would, after seeing these shots, think twice about making that investment.

So, I think all in all, BMW would perfer we don't get to see it.
