A friend and I were talking about this car, and he made an amusing comment:

Quote:
Have you seen the movie As Good As It Gets? There's a part where this
woman asks Jack Nicholson's character how he writes female characters
so well in his novels. His response: "I think of a man, and then I
take away reason and accountability."

I can't comment on how that would work for writing fictional women,
but I feel like that description is well suited to describe a large
proportion of the car buying public.

Your thought process (and mine):

1. That car makes stupid functional compromises in exchange for small/
nonsensical advantages (if any).
2. The car's looks highlight those compromises.
3. Given 1 and 2, the car is and looks stupid.

Their thought process:

1. Pretty!
2. Want.
