I really don't understand everyone's problem with electric steering. I don't understand "lack of road feel" and feeling "dead."

Your hands are on the wheel keeping the car straight and your eyes and body are confirming this. I think the problem with electric steering is lack of hand to eye coordination.

My car turns so much easier than my wife's hydraulic steering X6. I really have no interest in muscling through turns in my tight parking lot. Electric Steering is very precise and I feel everything I need to on it.

It's essentially fly-by-wire for aircraft which adapts to the environment.

In short, I love it... Especially when coupled with Active Steering.
