Either you guys living in UK are so lucky or your expectation is too high
Here in US, the best thing dealers can do by loaner car is 528 or 328 with M sport package.
They usually have a couple more expensive car (6 or 7 series) but not always available
... I have never heard anybody got any M car as loaner (at least in my area)
