Thanks - well the regular controller is $700+ on their website, add $250, plus $500 for install and we are close to $1500 for this. Pretty pricey. Also why so much for the install - it supposed to be pretty easy to swap out. Even at BMW's hourly rate that's alot of time.
Also, Do you happen to know what the BMW part number is for the touch controller you have? As it's a factory part, curious as to what some of the online dealers will sell it for. It should be the same part as what's in the 3,5 series ect.
Another note- the touchpad will be standard in the 2015 6 series. So dealers will be able to code it as of this spring.
