I figured that when I looked at them and there may be where the problem lies, he had to either open them up on the machine or he welded in a reducer and that's why they are that far out. They were not meant for your car but you can always make something fit. Bottom line is you now have a 2.5" inlet tip on a 3" exhaust pipe and that is restriction no matter how you slice it. More back pressure, hotter temps, all bad for the cats and turbos.
