With the help of the above post to be able to install the controller without breaking anything when removing the trim off the console, I was able to install and code in less than an hour. Half of that time went into trying to recover a dropped screw near the gear shifter.
Used controller from eBay (ceramic) $180
Module from ECS tuning (bought the Mini one, it's $15 cheaper, same part) $70
"Y" cable from eBay (shipped from China) $18
Coded myself
Total cost lessthan $300. Nice to have, not absolutely necessary but way cool. Anyone looking into doing this, it's is relatively easy.
