You're looking at this from the wrong perspective. The RFT's feel stiff because of the metal internals and reinforced sidewall. The tread itself is usually a soft and lower number like 220-240 so you will get traction out of them. Going to a 540 treadwear tire you're going to have traction issues as the 650 puts down a lot of torque, and that can be somewhat unsafe depending on how you drive. I would stick to a treadwear that is closer to the stock figures and just get non-rft's and you'll have a great ride.
