LOL... no this is not F8x forum but M DCT is really a manual transmission with exception of clutch pedal and is sequential similar to F1 cars and that's the purpose of DCT which is racing. In fact DCT has the same structure of traditional manual gearboxes but the odd gears have their own clutch (set 1) and even gears have another clutch (set 2). Existing these 2 sets of clutches plus the built-in rev matching feature allow very fast gear shifting in less than 100 ms without any torque interruption.
Trust me after almost 26 years driving the manual cars I can tell you DCT is a master piece of engineering works much more efficient than MT. I admit MT is fun to drive and you feel more connected to the car, but DCT is another fun part. Meanwhile, this sequential structure has additional kickdown mode available to skip several gears (ie from 7 to 2) if you want to.
