Testing season is fully underway in Germany and the upcoming F12 BMW 6-series is fully involved. Here we see the upcoming 6-series still wearing heavy camoflage over the entire front and rear ends, which will be the most drasticly changed parts of the car when compared to the current example. This is a car that as some may remember has been said to be the "Best-looking BMW in years" by BMWUSA officials.

A folding hardtop seems to be a sure bet at this point, especially considering the E93 has been wearing one for years now. This car wears a faux canvas top as part of its general camoflage, but make no mistake, there is a hardtop under that canvas.

These pictures do have the added treat of giving us a view of the interior for the very first time, and it looks to be a mix of the F07 and F10 5-Series' highly refined interior quality and precision mated to the dynamic flair of the Z4.

Under the hood, the choices should follow the familiar pattern found on the new 5-series including the twin power V8 and turbo inline 6-cylinder engine (N55), as well as the new diesel offerings available from BMW such as the N57. It would not be a far fetch to suppose that there would be an ActiveHybrid version of the 6 series as well.
