this car isn't even supposed to compare with the XJ L (and even if it did, this 6 would blow it out of the water). that's the 7's job... also the XJ L is HIDEOUS
imo.
The 6 gran coupe looks amazing
and is a much better alternative than the 7, especially since they watered down the 7 lineup with the 740i which can be had for the price of an M3 with a few options (there goes the exclusivity due to pricing).
