I've got the same squealing, so damn loud. Really, really embarrassing - I almost dread stop signs...
I've also tried slamming on the breaks and major brake pumping to get around this. nothing works.
Also if it was an issue then why does the noise just come from one brake? If it was a 'feature' all would be affected.
