It is going away, this is the last manual M6.... You and I are a dying breed when it comes to manual tranny's. I find it odd though, driving is about the pleasure and involvement. The manual melds the man and machine into one IMHO. If the number don't work well with orders then make the manual a more expensive option like the convertible then.
But yes DCT's are faster.
