I, for one, take what I read on official websites more seriously than hearsay.
Here is a USA site (since that seems to be more credible in your mind) which says:

Finally, if all this black-on-white does not convince you, go to a dealer and ask them to cold start a 650 M-sport. Then, one without. QED.
