There are some technology & component upgrades/differences between the pre LCI 2013/14/15 models that you may want to check off our pro/con list. Here some examples from off the top of my head (there may be more/others…so if anyone has more…feel free to add to the list)

The 2013 has the oldest iDrive system (CIC) which has a lower resolution.
The 2014 does get the NBT iDrive system (higher resolution) and the newer 3 spoke sport steering wheel if the build date is after 7/2013
The 2015 gets the newer iDrive controller dial that can come with the touch pad…and the 6WB instrument cluster became standard equipment (at least on the 650…I’m not sure on the 640).
  • Thanks for the insight. Thoughts on the 80k mileage on the 15? This would be a new to BMW purchase for me
