Ahhh, that makes sense now. So in this case 2014 to 2015 have very minor tweaks and he's better off getting a 2014 with lower mileage/more options for the same price.
FYI, the smaller controller can be switched out for the big ones and the touch function can be coded. This update is very inexpensive if that is keeping you from getting a 2015 or 2014. I had the big controller in my 550i but honestly prefer the smaller ceramic one as it feels much nice in the hand to use. The touch function was used a couple of times.
