Very strange about your Auto Start/Stop feature. On every production BMW EXCEPT the M car, that feature is "on" by default. The M cars come with it "off". My 2013 M5 is configured this way.
Also-it is very odd about the iDrive as well. I just ordered my 2014 M6 and it does seem true, based upon conversations with the dealer and information on-line, that cars with production dates of July 2014+ have the competition pkg (which I ordered) and the new iDrive.
VERY NICE M6 btw...I also chose Alpine White (black full leather).
