One of the reasons why we haven't seen xDrive saloons/estates in the UK was something to with the positioning of the front differential and the the steering column on RHD models occupying the same space. Thankfully starting with the F30 3-series that's all about to change! BMW have recognised the demand for AWD saloons and estates particularly from Northern England and Scotland and for the first time an xDrive 3-series will be available as a RHD model and sold in the UK probably from around September onwards.
