I think it does run the risk of being a color you might get sick of after a while. The pics of these matte cars look very cool and different, but I might get tired of it after 5 years - particularly if additional care is required. The matte gray on an M3 on that episode of Top Gear (where they put it up against the Audi equivalent) looked really cool. If I were leasing I'd likely be more willing to try it, but it's a bit much for my commitment issues to cope with lol.
I like the color on the GC with M Sport, but I think the car needs to be trimmed with every other luxury option to match the special color. It would definitely get points for being distinctive, and I think it makes the car trend more toward the luxury end of the luxury-sporty spectrum.
