The 6-series interior is breathtaking.

That driver oriented split, and angling of the controls toward the driver, that was one of the reasons I fell in love with BMW. My 1993 E36 325i had that - of course, nowhere near as beautiful - and it just feels like you're in a cockpit.

The newer BMW's haven't been doing this - newer 3-series, 5-series, 7-series, X vehicles (including my X6M), all have a flat dash/center console.

It's nice to see BMW go back to this. It's most evident in the 6-series and the i8.
