+1 looking forward to do the same. I know you asked specifically about GC experience, but I did this on the Cayenne D (inside and outside) and the difference is awesome. I got all the lights on Ebay. The only issue I had was with one licence plate led that burned out after a couple months, all the interior lights are still perfect. Just make sure to order some quality ones like OSRAM or Phillips and you should be fine.
