If you’re not the original owner…have you checked the multiple ways some owners do to keep the flap open? Some unplug the wiring connector, and some use a golf tee to keep the flap open.
Just do a google search to see the many ways to keep the flap open…then check your car to see if that’s been done. If yes, then reverse what the previous owner did.
