I have the same tire sizes as you. Only the rear rims are a little bigger. 20x10.

I had them on my E90, so they will definitely clear on the F13.

I just don't want to mess up the tranny or drivetrain.

I was also thinking maybe run the car on sport+ mode which shuts off the awd system and the car becomes a rwd.
