I did get the ceramic version and here are the part numbers:
Idrive controller touch: 65829327170
Controller touch control unit: 65829338800
The touch controller still does not appear under the 6 series diagrams (or was not there a week ago) so I took the part number from the F10... the idrive controllers are the same.

Terrific job. See your in S. Florida- I am in Gainesville. Would love to pay you to do it for me if we were closer! How big a job was it to swap controllers - how much trim did you have to remove? And where did you get the coding info? I had remote coding done last month, but don't think the gentleman had the code for the touch controller.
